Europe’s largest electrionics retailer, Dixons
Dixons is an electronic retailer located in Europe, and it is one of the largest electronic retailers in Europe. With its headquarters in Hemel Hempstead, England, UK it sells many electronic brands across Europe and online such as, Pixmania, Equanet and Advent Computers. Dixons has its roots in photography as it was started selling cameras by its founders Charles Kalms and Michael Mindel in their first store Dixons studio, which its name was selected from a phone book at random. The company since has boomed and bought out many competitors and sells a variety of products now along with its specialty photographic equipment.
With problems in the economy and keeping their repair agreements on products, and the added pressures of rivalry with other electronic retailers that seek to expand into the UK, Dixons has scaled back their facilities some in order to operate more smoothly. Dixons seem to have mixed reviews from their costumers with less than half of reviews recommending them. Dixons is reported to have many shipping problems when ordering from online, but has many users stating they received their product unusually fast, making their shipping inconsistent at best. Most of the bad reviews come from their costumer service and how they are no help with the previously stated shipping problems. Dixons has some problems to work out with its shipping. Discounts are available through Dixons.co.uk voucher codes.
